Obverse displays a black enamel Maltese-style cross with crossed swords between the arms. The central medallion features the Belgian heraldic lion. The decoration is surmounted by a royal crown suspension.
The ribbon is green with red edge stripes and includes an officer grade rosette.
Reverse features the royal monogram typical of Belgian Military Cross decorations.
